A big congratulations to the U15A girls cricketers who have achieved an impressive third place at The Cricket Paper National Girls 100 Ball Cup! This remarkable feat is a testament to the growing strength of girls’ cricket at Wellington College, which is currently seeing the highest participation in the school’s history.
Standout performances were abundant, with Georgia making a significant impact by scoring an unbeaten 46 runs in the third-place playoff. In the semifinals, Edie showcased her batting prowess with an unbeaten 22 runs. Additionally, Matilda’s exceptional bowling performance, taking 12 wickets, made her the highest wicket-taker in the competition.
This incredible achievement highlights the talent and dedication of the U15A girls, and they have made their supporters and community extremely proud.
