Wellington College is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Emily T, who has been selected to represent Team GB at the 2025 European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Bakuriani, Georgia.

Emily is one of 15 snowsport athletes chosen for this prestigious event, which runs from 9-16 February and will bring together over 1,600 young athletes from 44 countries. Competing in Alpine Skiing, she will showcase her talent on the international stage as part of a strong British delegation in one of the most significant multi-sport events for young athletes.

The EYOF is a vital stepping stone for aspiring Olympians, offering an invaluable experience in a world-class competition environment. Many past participants have gone on to compete at the highest levels, making Emily’s selection a remarkable milestone in her athletic journey.

Reflecting on the upcoming competition, Team GB Chef de Mission, Charlie Burn, emphasised the importance of the festival:

“It will be the first time many of our young athletes experience the Olympic movement, and it is an invaluable opportunity for them to develop in an international competition of this level.”

Following the exciting announcement, Thea Brookes, Head of Girls’ Sports Development, caught up with Emily on DukeBox to discuss her impressive journey. In the interview, Emily reflects on her years of training, the challenges she has overcome, and what this opportunity means to her.

The Wellington College community is immensely proud of Emily’s dedication, resilience, and hard work in reaching this stage. We wish her every success as she represents Team GB in Georgia.
