As part of the Wellington College family of schools, we are proud to celebrate the progress and achievements of our sister school, Wellington College Bangkok, as it approaches its fifth anniversary. In this short period, our partnership with Wellington College Bangkok has grown stronger, opening up even more learning opportunities for our pupils across both schools.
One of the exciting opportunities available to our pupils is the exchange programme, which allows them to experience different cultures and learn from each other. Recently, two pupils from Wellington College Bangkok made the most of this programme, visiting us in the UK and participating in life at Wellington College. We were delighted to host Ton Aor and Eddie, who had previously hosted Octavia from Wellington College during her two-week visit to Bangkok.
During their visit, Ton Aor and Eddie stayed in our boarding houses, participated in lessons and extracurricular activities such as climbing club, shooting club, and netball clubs, and enjoyed the rich cultural experiences that Wellington College has to offer. They also had the opportunity to attend productions and House events, something that is already a huge part of WCIB culture.
This exchange programme is just one example of the strong partnership between our two schools. We are also excited to announce our new Summer School for the Wellington College family of schools in July, which will provide our pupils with a unique two-week programme of academic, extracurricular, and cultural experiences, alongside fellow Wellingtonians from around the world. Many Year 8 and 9 pupils from Wellington College Bangkok will be attending.
As our partnership continues to strengthen, we look forward to welcoming Wellington College Bangkok staff to visit us in May, followed by our staff visiting Wellington College Bangkok. We are committed to fostering this close relationship between our two schools, for the betterment of our pupils, staff, and communities.
