School Choral Day

As a composer, conductor, and singer, Bob Chilcott has enjoyed a lifelong association with choral music, first as a chorister and choral scholar in the choir of King’s College, Cambridge, and for 12 years as a member of the King’s Singers. It was therefore an immense privilege to welcome him to Wellington College for our 2023 Young Singers’ Choral Day, attended by 19 schools and 400 children from across the surrounding region. Working on Times and Seasons – a collection of pieces written by Bob – the children’s enthusiasm, energy and dedication were inspiring, filling the Chapel with the most brilliant of sounds. An exhilarating day; thank you, Bob!
