It is a source of immense pride to share the news that the Cerebral Palsy Trust, founded by David Lofthouse (OW) and his Picton House friends, has been able to fund its first Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery. This treatment will transform the life of a young person by allowing them to life a more comfortable and mobile life. Charlie, aged 16, has twice been knocked off the NHS lists for this life-changing procedure, but was able to receive the surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital last month, thanks to the funds raised by the CPT. It is inspiring and humbling in equal measure, and huge congratulations to everyone who has helped make this happen.
