Senior students from Wellington College attended LSSC24, which was hosted by Imperial College London and organised in collaboration with ten leading universities in London.

LSSC24 provided an opportunity for our Wellington students to learn more about the incredible climate and sustainability work and research being undertaken by students across the city of London. It also allowed them to broaden their knowledge of the challenges and solutions to today’s most critical issues, and to network with other students, academics and professionals, gaining inspiration and tools to take action on climate and sustainability issues.

All members of the group shared their personal insights on their experiences during the event:

Marco – “At LSSC24, I explored sustainability and networked for my university application. Talks offered insights for my competition essay. It was worth it, and I hope others get the chance.”

Jessy – “I attended a world-class conference, met diverse voices, and gained ideas for saving the climate. Sessions inspired my EPQ on waste management. This conference had multiple purposes for me.”

Rhea – “LSSC24 was eye-opening. I learnt about dissertation formats and research methods. I have never been in a situation where I am being taught by students, and I found it to be quite inspiring! It fuelled my curiosity and excitement for university.”
